We stayed at the same hotel years ago. The C2 is a decoration. At night, I would slip out of our room. And touch it.

 

As a kid this is the style that made me fall in love with the 40 Ford,beautiful car!

Hey LBCD,

Nice photos of those woody wagons on the LB Freeway. I am not on that freeway as much these days, but within the last month, I have been on the LB Freeway two times in three weeks. The latest being just last Thursday. I was on my way to the Del Amo off ramp and the Price Transfer Lions Museum for one final movie film set up day. It is getting close to the grand opening, (a week away) and the museum is almost ready.

You are on that freeway much more on a daily basis so, you get to see all of the neat stuff rolling or being trailered to and from LA. Those woodies are really nice. The one on the trailer or both might have been coming from the center of the woody reconstruction world, located just on top of the Signal Hill area. (off of Cherry Ave and the 405 freeway.) The Wood N’ Carr shop has a reputation for some high quality work and reconstruction. It has been around for 44 years.

It was mid morning and the traffic on the 405 was heavy as well as the LB Freeway to Del Amo. In a way, I miss the old days of that whole area and the aura it had. But, with the neighborhoods changing rapidly, the old saying hangs true:

“You can’t go home again…” (except for one day, then it is “Get out of Dodge City”…)

 

yep, they always reminds me of that great looking birthday present, and when you open it up it's just underwear.

It would make an awesome shop truck or Hotrod...it actually looks pretty solid from the road...

Daily Driver in Lexington Outside of Whole foods. Car is driven year round in all weather conditions rain snow sun etc. seen him leaving Lowe’s one day with 2X4s hanging out the passenger door window He got sick of the show scene and started driving it again about 15 years ago. One family owned car. His wife’s Dad bought it new.

based on posts you've made over the years I must say that you get to see lots of primo iron in your job.

Also I've got your shop pinned in Google Earth and if I ever get to Colorado again I would like to drop in for a 5 minute chat/shop tour if you'll allow.

Also (again) it's just not fair that you can walk out your front door, look to the west and see your view. If I step out the front door and look straight west all I can see are the trashy neighbors that moved in across the street.

 

I'll never be rich but I am blessed as a car guy to get to drive a lot of cool cars over the years.
