I'm guessing this is left over from the cold war era. These hemi's were connected to very large sirens that sat on tall towers and as they were tested once each week, they would rotate to give the entire neighborhood the siren sound it served.

Ford Woody at the new, Newport Beach Lido House Hotel

    Hello,

What a surprise, after a nice lunch, we saw this woody in the hotel across the street that reminded us of the old Cape Cod style resorts. The woody wagon is ready for passenger delivery to the nearby airport or harbor for the pick up or return to your home. This stock Ford Woody was part of the new resort “feeling” shown to guests at this newly created hotel complex.

The new, Lido House Hotel at the Lido Isle section of Newport Beach replaced the old Newport City Hall. It can be seen while driving down the main drag that leads into the Newport Pier beach area and the Balboa Peninsula.

Just down the block is the classic 50's-60's style “Woody’s Diner” with great food and atmosphere.

“The hotel’s design and iconic architecture celebrates Newport Beach’s Cape Cod aesthetic with elegant twists on a variety of nautical themes. Sitting on the site of former City Hall, Lido House is the old-new centerpiece of Newport Beach.”

From last Friday, out and about in Southaven , Ms .Stopped and shot the bull for about a hour. The lot was too crowded , wanted to get a good picture filling up my 40 in front of the visible globe pump. Always a bunch of projects and a good visit. Later Bill

Always liked the grille/headlight configuration on these. To me looks better than a 40 ford truck

IMG_1301.JPG IMG_1302.JPG Saw this on a side street in Bend this morning. I'm not in the market for another project or I'd be tempted.

Yes, I like it because it’s a tall older T and the tow rig is cool too.

Looks like the whole thing would be loads of fun.
