    Hello,

While driving downhill to get some gas for our daily, we came across this old Chevy Nova 2 sitting in an empty parking lot in an industrial building. The place was deserted and no other cars were in the lot. So, the guy driving must have been a supervisor or owner of the business. Usually, the lot is packed with visitors and the second lot is also full. But, it was the weekend and only “workaholics” use an empty office for work.

The patina of the old Chevy Nova seems like a lot of old cars relegated to park outside in any coastal community. Most small houses have only two car garages and so, a third “old guy” gets the side yard or driveway. So, the rapid rusting is always prevalent in the “salt air” environment. Despite, the “April showers, May flowers scenario,” there is not much one can do for daily/nightly salt air creeping around all yards… and metal objects. YRMV

Who knows, it could have been an SBC motor and 4 speed along with Positraction in the rear. But, one can never know unless inspected up close and personal. It would be a perfect sleeper… But, it is always wise to remember, “Rust never sleeps!!!”

    OR…

Ideas come and go with a whim. Perhaps a custom Chevy Nova El Camino for two old folks or a custom Nomad style Station Wagon would fit in those old two car garages with plenty of space for other projects.

  14. Not today, but yesterday. Saw some familiar cars to the HAMB and had a great time for dinner, ice cream and just talking cars. Mark was a great host while I was in town for business.

  15. Driving across 70 in Kansas toward Colorado for my son’s graduation and stopped for lunch in Goodland. Just happened to trip across Matt Murray’s shop. Tons off cool stuff to see, but didn’t get to catch up with Matt since he was out for the afternoon.

Not big on pinstriping but this 32 sedan really caught my eye not only for the car itself but the stripping as well. SBF for power and a very nice maroon leather interior. IMG_6495.jpeg IMG_6494.jpeg IMG_6496.jpeg

  22. Half ton short (6') bed. Looks like stock location to me.

  23. I'm bettin it's on an S-10 chassis so the rear fenders were moved forward to center the wheels in the opening.....rear fenders are definitely moved forward.
also front wheels are not centered in wheel opening...and... deep rims on front to get the wheels out where they should be.
