What year Ford Banjo Rearend is this ?

I was wondering what year this rearend is , I am thinking that it is a 1937 to 1940 Banjo rearend ? I thought you could tell by the spring hanger's style. It does have a hole in the hanger which I was think was for a lever shock ? Any help would be great, Thanks.

A pic from the back would help, but it looks like a 42-48 Ford rear housing.

Sounds like you are saying that the rearend pictured is like the one you are trying to identify. The hangers that are part of the tube like that could be any from 37-48.

That is what I needed.

 

The extra bit sticking out on right hanger is for the anti-sway panhard bar...'42-8 type.
