    nice truck.

    1. change the shifter.
    2. white wheels to match the grille, stock hubcaps.
    3. finned valve covers. HOT RODS need finned valve covers.
    4. cool air cleaner.
    5. drive it like an old truck.

    that's what I would do.

If it were mine I'd like to use it as a daily driver, a truck to take stuff to the dump and a load of sorted scrap to the yard now and then. Paint the grille and wheels cream. Not sure how good glass fenders are, so I'd be looking for steel ones, and paint it Ford truck green some day. Looks like you got it at a good price. Bob.....................Oh, forgot WWW on trucks just look so wrong IMO.
  4. Nice Truck- be happy! I would not change too much.

Where I live (europe) a truck like this would cost you twice the money you've paid.

Throw some different wheels or hubcaps and trim rings on it and drive it.

Just drive it, nice looking truck, the PO built to look bone stock. Think about it,,you just rebounded from financial difficulties and you want to start throwing money at a "luxury"

And some people just need to keep their mouths shut.
Obviously the poster has rebounded from his financial hardship since he was able to buy the truck for 8k.
If he wants to paint the thing bright pink and cruise it, then that's his right. He came here asking for opinions on his truck, not his concept of reality...
  12. I'd remove the floor, patch the floor, and use shifter and use the column shifter. I agree with the kill the bulldog theme and most certainly agree with the drive the socks off of it consensus.

Save up some fundage and this winter, send your axle to Sid, so he can drop it for you.

A better choice for the independent front suspension would be the Jaguar, look up some of the older threads using Jag front end, I think it'll change your mind about using the Mustang II.
  14. I like it as is! and I agree with this guy. :p
  15. If it were mine, which it ain't,I would paint the bumpers & wheels white, lower it a bit and put dog dish hub caps on it..

But the first thing I would do is throw that stupid Mack truck bull dog in the trash,,,but again,,it ain't my truck. HRP

Yank the bulldog, sell it to a Mack nut, put some dog dish caps on it and drive it!
