Preferably hot rod related, but Sherry will be with me so any suggestions of what we should see or do is appreciated.

Neither of us have ever been to the Big Easy before; only know what we've seen on TV or in the movies.

Our list of non-car related things on our to-do list includes, in no particular order:

    St. Louis Cathedral
    Jackson Square
Chalmette Battlefield (the Battle of New Orleans site)
taking a riverboat cruise (dinner cruise???)
    drive across Lake Ponchartrain
tour at least one plantation mansion
ride the Algiers Ferry over to Algiers Point
visit one of the old cemeteries
    walk around the French Market
    drive around the Superdome
eating beignets at Café Du Monde
    having breakfast at Mother's
    eating at Antoine's
drinking a hurricane at Pat O'Brien's (well; Sherry will; I won't)
find a H-D dealership to get a tee shirt

As you can see there are no car related events on our schedule 'cause we know absolutely nothing about them. Most of the above list was gleaned from friends and/or the web.

We'll be staying at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel right in the middle of the French Quarter, so we'll be walking or riding the trolley cars to a lot of these places.

Any additional suggestions will be most appreciated, as will comments or suggestions regarding the items on our list.
