Wow! I'd call it done and drive the wheels off of that thing.

  2. Screw the purists. Half of them have never seen what a factory original 'vette looks like in the first place, just restored to better than they ever were from the factory and drawn on with grease pencils by guys who need pills to get their dicks hard.
Yeah, I have an attitude problem with those guys.

I think by hacking..he just means cutting, and not hack job. To be 100% honest the tail lights in the Impala look wrong.

To me its kinda dumb to mess with it, unless plans are to keep it forever. Only gonna lower the value, and shaved handles seem so mid 70's-80's to me.

To clarify also, I'm not a prurist, I built a heavily modded 70's vette from a pretty much original vehicle that I still own, many years ago, but anymore to me some things are better left alone.

I cringe when I see any near complete stock vehicle being cut up on here to be honest, just cause someone has a whim. This thread just screams gimme attention by the title as it is, I guess the attempt to shock people is part of the fun.

Its not my dollar though, so I'm just pretty much babbling anyhow.

Not sure about the white walls on a 'vette, but the rest of the plan sounds good. Knock it out and hit the road!

Based upon all your other vehicles I have no doubt this is going to be extremely nice and tastefully executed.

I'm no purist but that year of Vette is timeless. When is modifying a car too much? When you lose the essence of timeless-ness. The white walls and chrome rims are enough.

If i was gonna own a Vette again it'd be a solid axle one, preferably a 61, like your's..
That's a slick car just as it is and even though my first thought was leave it....i wouldn't myself. I'd have a straight axle under it with a blown 409! :)

Have at it! I'm sure it will come out top notch!

I want a Vette too, it'd be a clone of the one from Hot Rods to Hell. I love the Vette in that movie!!

If it turns out half as nice as your lawn mower, (let alone your other stuff) it will be killer.
