What the hell are these and what is this little thingy?

First are these two little bottles with corks in the top. There is a little wire (an applicator?) in each of the corks that go down into some kind of brownish goo... Here is the strange part; I found one of the bottles in the side curtain pan of my old 30 roadster last year. The roadster had spent it's whole life here in Utah. Last month I bought a 31 roadster that is from Ohio. While cleaning it out I found another bottle (with the cork, the wire and the same brownish goo) inside the driver's door. What the hell are these things???

Second is this little aluminum thingy that I got in a lot of Flathead parts from an older guy. What do you think it is?

i'm gonna take a guess that the bottles have old dried up rubber cement in them, for patching innertubes if you get a flat on the road.

the aluminum plate thing...could it be some kind of block off plate ?
i don't know flatheads all that well, but that's my guess.

I think you have purchased an early rolling meth lab. That aluminum 'thingie' looks like some sort of bullnose strip/hood ornament attachment part - but I sure don't recognize its specific application.

"grape wine in a Mason jar..homemade and brought to school...by a friend of mine....after class, me him and some other fool decided that we'd drink up what's left...chug a lug so we helped ourselves...first time for everything...mmmmmm...my ears still ring"

Took the liberty of taking a sample of the picture to the crime lab and they ran a spectrographscopyilumminatoraldefiblarycoscopy test on it...

    The results just came back...

It's a rare strain of small pox...

The aluminum thingy is a heat box (right name) for a carb choke. It bolts onto an Offy flathead manifold such as the 4bbl. Have one and didn't use it.

Noooo idea about the bottles, oh maybe some old bread starter?
