What the heck do I have here?

    I just recently purchased a torque converter mfg. by Art Carr. It is a 10"converter With #88020 Can anyone steer me to a place where I can get this number decifered? As I have been told that Art has closed his bizz. Any help you can give, would be greatly appreciated... bowtie40

    He used them in his 200-4R transmissions.

    The real Art Carr is still in business. California Performance Trans. Huntington Beach, Ca. He had sold his name to an outfit in Texas and I guess to avoid a lawsuit , he goes by another name CPT. From what I remember the Tx. operator ran the deal into the ground anyway.

    Another quick note, Following yall's leads, I called Art Carr the other day, and was given the description of the converter #88020 and was told that it was for a TH350-400 w/3000 stall which will work out dandy in my 40 Chev. cpe. We shot the breeze for another 15 min. I told him I was raised in the San Gabriel valley, and used to race at Irwindale, where he was a fixture. Turns out he's a super neat guy, and will supply the rest of my trans parts for my trans build. bowtie40...
