Can anyone ID this thing? I think it was previously owned by George Jetson
I cant ID it, but it is one cool ass mower
I thought for sure I was going to see pics of the cast aluminum one powered by a flathead starter. (I should have bought the one I saw locally)
That thing is really cool though.
Dood, that might be cool enough to almost get me excited to mow my lawn.
WOW! a Spacely Sprockets model X15.
looks like a jacobsen.
Looks like a two stroke... I'm surprized some kid hasn't robbed the motor for his gokart!
Were all the Jacobsens' two stroke? Isn't that one?
" Humpty Dumpty was pushed "
I have a friend in the business and I will forward this to him. It is cool BUT----what else did you buy Mark?
Your like a magnet when it comes to oddball "stuff"! Very cool indeed................
Looks like there is a shadow of a V in front, kinda looks Montgomery Ward ish ?
I seen ya pushing that thing on the back stretch and told my wife how cool that old thing looked! Good find man.
I think the patina is fake !!
Had an edger back when with a motor like that one. Would run.............We used coat hanger wire for the cutting blade.
Is that a Clinton engine......maybe? Cool lawn mower for sure. Sandblast that sucker and give it a paint job and some pinstripes.........................
yes it is a clinton 2 stroke. I see candy red, white pinstripes, gold motor and chrome everything in its future!!!
Some very small Radir style tri rib wheels would look cool on it too.
Sweet mower. I need to get something cool like that to motivate me to mow. I freaking hate mowing, but if I had a neat mower like that I'd mow just to show off....
I heard you bumped into my dad & brother. Small world, what you doing way down in Iowa?
I always go to the cedar rapids swap, have found some cool stuff there, too bad I didnt get to meet you
They used the Clinton Engine on Go Karts too !! Kool find >>>>.
Where could you get a set of angled quad headlights small enough to fit that thing?
Back in the 50s when them things were new and somewhat popular you could always tell when someone was using one. By the smoke cloud !! ,also made a damm good mosquito fogger.
Man I missed that cool lil piece. Awesome swap meet find. I wish I could have met you Mr. Moriarity. You always get the kool stuff.
Are you gonna put a lake pipe on it
it would look cool with pinstripes
It looks like a giant ant's head, I would paint it like a crazy bug from space.
If that's the case then maybe the mower is a Lewinski...
Mark, I truly wish I had access to a CNC mill to make some bitchin mini-Radir wheels for that bad boy...I think it needs some metalflake and possibly a pearl lace panel or two, and wrap the hand grip on the handle in red metalflake vinyl, a chrome megaphone, pearl white motor, red metalflake engine cover, some red spark plug wiring with a Raja end and some whitewall tires...maybe some drawer pull knobs for a "grille"?...hahaha...
You aint kiddin', Zerk! LOL. That thing looks for all the world like a '56 Lincoln Premiere. Moriarity...ya gotta make some '50s-style headlights and tail-lights for that thing. Then you could mow at night! Hey, then ya gotta slam it...wait...oh, that wouldn't work very good...grass too short.
My Grandfather had one just like that. Came from Western Auto he bought it in the early 60's for about $50.00.
It didn't run real well, but sure looked COOL!
Hands down the funniest thing posted here today!
Very cool find Mark, I can see you using it at casa.
Must have been a 50s day, I scored a 1955 10HP Johnson Sea Horse outboard off a radio call in show today, runs like a top and looks like new!
