As I was cleaning up the shop today I found this steering box in an old milk crate. I have no idea what it fits, where I got it, when I got it, or why.

I've googled every marking on this thing and don't know any more now than I did a couple of hours ago.

Can someone with more experience than me please tell me what I've got?

    tia

little mazda pickup, like the B2000, from the early 80s, is my wild guess.

Wow; 116 views and no one knows?

I might lose faith in you folks.

Most times the correct answer shows up in about 5 minutes.

    C'mon guys.

Sorry, squirrel. When you said it was your wild guess I thought that you really didn't know and were only guessing. I should have known better. I don't believe you've ever led anyone wrong yet.

    Thanx.

Did you already know what it is or do you know some search tricks that I don't?

it's a wild guess, because I'm relying on a flaky ebay ad to confirm what it is.

Normally, I'd be more sure of myself. But I don't know shit about japanese crap.

  10. Cowl steering? Looks like the sector shaft is pretty long. May work real well for cowl steering.

Anyone want it? Pay shipping and it's yours.

  12. LOL I'll take it and give you gas money if you'll poke down to Ashland and pick up a 396 short block for me. Hell I'll even buy the burgers while you're here. I don't need it today but I promise I'll find a home for it. :D :D :D
