Ok everyone. I have a 1958 chevy delrey lowered 3". I want to put wheels from a 1987 Z28 (15X7). Does anyone have any idea what size tires to put on. I don't want to have to change the gears. the stock tires were 7.5x14.

Oh, I would like the widest I can go without rubbing.

Any opinion is more than what I have now.

    thanks

You might check your Z wheels for offset befor you decide .That is a modern style
muscle car or performance styling so you will need a performance type tire.I think something like a 205 70 and 235 60 might be a place to start .To short a tire look silly and you need some good tread width on the rear .Talk to a guy at a good tire shop or look at what other guys have done .The right tire wheel combo can make or break the look .Hope this helps good luck.

since I opened your post because of your subject title.
    Tire size being 2nd most important to stance. I have to ask...WHY? " 1987 Z28 ".

    Come on.
