  6. You guys need to factor this in when you answer. Rubber rake combos look pretty dumb on a custom with skirts.
39 sedan and yes. See my comment above.

225 75 15 all around on a 48 Plymouth coupe. Before it had 235 75 15s all around. They were too big. I suspect the 225 would be pretty big with skirts. Gene

So we can assume that because you say it is a custom and running skirts that it will be a tail dragger? (lower in the rear) if that is the case then the tires should be all the same size. How much lower than stock will it be? that has a lot to do with what size tires you can run. 6.70-15's are 27 inches tall and a little more than an inch shorter than the 6.00 16's it was born with. I guess we need more info.....

without knowing how low your car is going to sit and if you want it "nose down" or "tail dragger" I can't offer any suggestions. Just the fact that it has a Must 2 front makes it seem more like a street rod and less like a custom to me. I would suggest you find some similar cars at events and ask the owners what the modifications to the suspensions are and see what tires they are running

Thank you for all the help I finally bit the bullet and ordered the 670R15 Bias look radials. They were a little pricey but I figured if you're going to do it right do it right the first time s-l400 (1).jpg

I'm running 7.10 x 15s on my '39 Ford Coupe. It has skirts and 3" blocks. I wanted the extra o.d. for longer legs on the highway. Also, I picked a wheel off-set that makes tire changes easy.

6.70 ft.. 7.10..bk or equivalent. Stock offset rims. Makes steering, scrub radius, etc. still correct.
