You can paint an engine with just about anything. I usually paint everything except the exhaust manifolds with the paint/color I use on the body.

  2. I used Eastwood engine paint the last time and got a good result. No need to prime.

  3. I want that water pump.

  4. I used the POR-20 engine paint, you can brush it on with good results,it covers really well (80% solids).
I'm 'skill challenged' so spraying was not an option for me.
It's also available in colours other than Chevy Orange.
    Got mine from Frost. http://www.frost.co.uk/

What about pearl on an engine? Is that asking for trouble? I like the idea of a smoothed pearl white engine, but am I just trying to do something that will just waste time?

The pearl paint (bc/cc) on my block has held up extremely well. Still looks new, even with 15k plus miles on it. Go for it! :)

I've used POR engine paint for the last three I've built. It is great stuff.
