My 1960 F100 is now nearly ready for the streets and one of the last things on my list is what muffler to run?
engine is a 223 with manual 3 speed, the truck is an old farm truck, completely stock and very quiet. I dont want a loud exhaust, just a nice rumble.
Has anyone used Smithy glasspacks? how do they sound and is there any difference in sound with the different lengths?

Those will be pretty loud. My Brother just completed a UniBody Pickup, and went with the Ebay Special. Complete exhaust with muffler. It's got a great deep sound without being offensive.

Do a 24”+ Thrush glasspack, the longer the quieter. Nice and quiet, I have a 27”on my daily driver. Sounds almost stock unless you really floor it, which I doubt you will be doing. If you are worried about it still though, you may want to do a chambered muffler after the glasspack.
