Muffker ? Does Porter make muffkers ? :D

4. Believe it or not I put a flowmaster 40 on my Desoto. It is very understated.

5. OK, so this is a V8 but here is the sound of 12" Glass Packs. With pipe all the way out the back it's fairly quiet inside.

6. Took x pipe an mufflers off 2010 charger 5.7 cid 21/4 sounds great 250 chevy

7. Muffkers are like sneakers. Except, instead of making you sneaky, they make you muffled... :D

I have been looking for a Muffker for many years as they no longer make them. I, when I had them on my 6 in a rows, I had ticket getter Smitty’s.

No mufflers on my flathead. Put porters on my SBC and they sound perfect right out of the box and well made. Smitty's are junk in my opinion, way too quiet and as soon as they start to sound good they become rotted out . I think my smitty'made it two years before they rotted out.

Mitchell started making mufflers back in the 50's. They were used primarily by muffler shops through the 60's. At least out here in the Northwest. The 24 is the length of the glasspack.

21. Running 2" all the way out without muffkers on Henry's flathead. Sounds like two Massey Fergusons! You can't think over the noise. Leaving for a car show early in the morning has everyone in the neighborhood awake.
Going back to install two 24" Magnaflow glasspacs.

Depemds on what type of sound you are looking for. Mellow, hot, or slient.
What size motor are you running? Modified? I have a chevy 292 truck motor, bored .040, cam, headers, and run dual turbo tubes.(Corvette side pipe inserts) They basically are a 3" dia. 18" long crimped piece of metal designed to "Muffle", not restrict.
They are the absolute best set up for an Inline six. Ask some the HAMBERS on this site who have heard it!

I have an all original 235 in my wife's Biscayne with a home made Y Pipe and then ran 2 1/4 Lake Pipes down the side. It was straight piped but the interior drone was too much for my 7 month old son so I put silencers in them. It sounds pretty damn good. I used to have a '81 C10 with a 250 in it as my daily driver and I had the split manifold with true dual flowmasters and it sounded like a v8 at idle and then I switched to glasspacks. Sounded pretty damn good too.

We always run Schmufflers...as in muffler, schmuffler. Who needs them?

Or, Flowmasters. I think I've been putting on mostly the 40 series. They are quiet until you step on it. Then, they get loud quick. Nice tone.

;)
