What makes your hot rod different?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 30FordNerd, Nov 29, 2012.

  1. That was 8 years ago and I was just on the mend a bit. You should have seen me in '03. :D My hair still isn't gray and I still have a ful head of it. ;)

Altered is the eventual plan or maybe gas roadster.

oh yea, its a fake and i'm not going to try an pass it off as the real thing, but it should get some attention when i get it going.its just going to be a down and dirty fun car and i'm a sign painter, so it will help advertise for me.

  6. Good fake for sure.

So its a hornet step down, it has the export package? twin pots and a factory split?

Sorry dude, you have just peaked my interest. The wife and I wer trying to save up the cash to buy a '51 with all the stuff when we were in high school. it was betsy brown, a beautiful little car.

Will try to post pics tonight but I just picked up a 1930 Auburn 8-95 sport sedan this past weekend. Now time to cut it up, and make it mine.

Art deco design, lots of "creases" in the fender peaks and trunk. Rare make and model (they didn't make many two doors). Kept the original dash and interior design.

On my 23 T the scoop is hand fabricated. It is chain drive actuated. The front cowl lamps are fiberglass. I had to make the retainer rings. The steering is made from a wood table blank and attached to an original model T spoke.

My duece has 8 exhaust pipes/tips, 4 on each side. It is double blown, and the sidewall on my tires say "Wanna Race?!?". In raised white letters!

    what makes mine different?

I can tell them apart because one is a Coupe, one is a Roadster and the other is a Roadster Pickup

  22. things that make my model A unique are..

*its a model A 'special' that i made a steel roof that looks pretty close to a stock A coupe roof.

*i have a very old pin striper style on my car from a guy that is better than most 'good' stripers

*i have 148 louvers total on my car.i likes louvers

*its got a 40's ford pickup rear window section grafted into it.a 30 model dash rail and the visor was raised and molded in to look like a 30

It's all steel, a rare Chevy, all home / owner built. When was the last time you saw a gennie or similar YOM phaeton?
