What makes a great photo?

Google - "Rule of thirds", learn it,remember it, apply it. Nearly every good picture uses it.
Then learn to see light in the form of reflections, shadows, and color.
Also remember as mentioned before, distracting crap unrelated to the photo will spoil it. (or make it- like this one) This is not my photo, my kids, or my dogs...HAHA
