    Just a guess;

    35 Chevy Master sedan with roof cut off.

    I think those wire wheels with the fat looking hub, first came out around 33-34 on the Chevy Master model

    Cool I have been eye balling it for years and it has a pheaton style windshield not sedan a pillars, the place has always had a lot of cars around it and the city has made them bulldoze the house down so I'm hoping the cars there can be bought now..

    Six lug wire wheels scream G.M., also fuel tank filler position. Windshield looks to be stanchion type 'roadster' or PHAETON.
    ('A' before 'E' in 'Phaeton'...otherwise it is pronounced "Feeton".) :rolleyes:

    If windshield were of the 'fixed' type, body would be a 'convertible sedan', or simply a sedan with the top chopped off. ('Sedan-ster'?) :D

    '36 Chev Phaeton with earlier production wheels. It should have "artillery" type.

    That's all that was uncovered, a few years back it had another cover that was rotted and you could see the windshield.

    OK, ........ the one in the back is just one of them '59 or so, hard-top convertibles from ford. You know, the ones that fold up and take up all the trunk space. Don't recall what they called them....

    Wheels are '34-'36 Chev, and were used by Pontiac as well. The fender shape looks like '35 Master, but could be '35-'36 Pontiac. None of the '35-'36 export cars in "60 years of Chevrolet" or the '29-'39 archives book are on Master chassis. The back end is weird - cut down Pontiac ??

  16. .....................I think you guys are right. I saw what I thought was the indication of a back door, but upon a second look it appears to be the gas door. Good eyes guys.

    I believe we have a winner! I found a clip of one on youtube. Looks the same to me.

  20. Marque is just a high falootin' word for brand. Most Americans say "brand". We speak colloquial English, here in the colonies. Knowhamsayin?;)

    "Brand" is what people who aren't into cars call a marque, is what I've always found.

    "Marque" is what people who are in colonies on the other side of the Atlantic call a brand, is what I've always found.

    The term "make" is even more common in the US than "brand"...though it is the next most common in my experience. All the documents that I can recall, that contain spaces for vehicle description, use the term "make"....along with "model" and "year".

    I agree with Carl La Fong, "Marque" is the upper crust synonym.
