I found this old 4 door out in the woods and got quite a few decent parts off it but I have no idea what it is (Dodge maybe?). Anybody know what this one is?

Shame about the bullethole in the middle of this chrome on the dash. I'll probably go back and grab it anyway since the bottom part with the ignition switch could be modified and used.

I found better stuff out looking around too, like this two door 59 Impala that's still got alot of good stuff on it. I'm headed back with a jack so I can lift it up and get the front clip off it.

It's a Chrysler product, post-war by the bulge at the door bottoms where the running boards are. Not familiar enough with dashboards to tell if it's Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto or Chrysler. Have to see the grille to be sure, not much chance of that! Or the body ID plate.

Looks like a '48 Plymouth to me. Possibly Dodge.

The gauges are wrong for Chrysler. Maybe Dodge. Also the "bulge" was on the '42's, too.

It did have suicide doors like a postwar Plymouth now that I think about it.

The ID plate in the door jamb was completely unreadable.

    That is a 46-48 dodge (d24) 4door sedan.

It is NOT a Plymouth. Those Mopar under dash switch pods are really neat for any kind of old car.

Thanks guys, I knew I'd found out hear.

BTW, As a guy who always rants against those people who come on this board with photos of a car in someone elses barn talking about how they are going to get the car, I can assure you these cars truly are abandoned (on BLM land). That's why they're full of bulletholes.

The Dodge is dumped in a ravine and the 59 spent the last 30 years or so upsidedown in a ravine, which is why the roof is completely rusted off. I do not steal parts off cars people are storing somewhere (like other assholes did to my Buick last year).

And yea, the idea of getting the whole 59 has crossed my mind.

The snow is in the mountains of New Mexico.

  20. '59 you can probably cut up and sell frame sections, floors, rockers, that usually aren't too bad if it sat upside down. Although as it is it reminds me of the one they trashed in Mad Max, maybe you can claim it was from the first take of that scene?

The Dodge, too, although not for nearly as much money, no one repops floors and inner wheel houses and so forth for one of those... we have a coupe here that thing would make a great donor for if it wasn't 1500 miles away.
