Saw this on a movie this morning and i don't have a clue what it is, sorry for the picture it's off the tv.
So now can we figure on not seeing this joke on here again? I thought so, just thought I'd ask. LOL -Mike
Dang, I thought it was just the picture that made it so ugly at first, but seeing it again in another picture just hurts my eyes.
Checked my "Car Spotters Guide" that go'es back to 1940 but only went back to '47 for the Checker so here is all I can come up with without doing a google search. It says they go back to 1922, maybe some one can come up with a year for that picture?
Nope there is no weigh it's a Henway, Looks like the picture of the Checker but, it also might be a Dickfer?
I think the movie it 'The kiss of death' 1949, did it have a guy push an old lady down the stairs in a wheel chair?
Yep, a Checker Model "A", made right here in k-zoo. Late 30' early 40's I believe. Heres a good checker resource- http://www.checkertaxistand.com/index.php The checker "A8" is actaually pretty sharp car!
An ultra-rare '46 Alphonso De Credenza Deluxe 7-passenger coupe???? mart ===========================================================
Apparently there's more than one reason you never ever see those Checkers anywhere, besides the fact that they were sold fleet only and usually worn out like a pencil eraser after test day when the taxi companies sold them off.
