I am building a Model A chassis that currently has a 1936 ford front axle with 50" king pin spacing. The F-1 spindles, brake drums and the spacers needed to install 16" Kelsey Hayes wheels. This set up causes the tires to stick out about 1" past the fenders. I have an axle that measures 48 1/2" between the king pins and 38 1/2" between the spring perches. This axle will help narrow the front enough to get by. It looks like I will need a 1 3/4" wide non-chromed springs about 33 1/2" to 34" eye to eye to work with this axle. I need to know what year this axle is so that I can get a spring for it. Also where can I get one reasonably priced.
Well its not 32 to 36 ford or model a .I went with the 46 inch axle On my 32 .............with the 32 axle and the truck brakes mine hits the outside fenders thats the first one you mentioned ,It has to be 37 and up the 2 nd axle you have
