I am building a Model A chassis that currently has a 1936 ford front axle with 50" king pin spacing.

The F-1 spindles, brake drums and the spacers needed to install 16" Kelsey Hayes wheels.

This set up causes the tires to stick out about 1" past the fenders.

I have an axle that measures 48 1/2" between the king pins and 38 1/2" between the spring perches.
This axle will help narrow the front enough to get by.

It looks like I will need a 1 3/4" wide non-chromed springs about 33 1/2" to 34" eye to eye to work with this axle.
I need to know what year this axle is so that I can get a spring for it.

Also where can I get one reasonably priced.
