    I got that once....

I called her out on it....Here's how it went....."Yo<!-- / message -->ur seriously not going to pull that stupid ass horseshit that's ingrained in every female to manipulate men are you? I mean I dont bitch and moan every time you haul a dumbassed retard cat home and take way too long to find it another home do I? Its a fucking car....thats it, it doesnt shit on our bed like the last thing you hauled home."

That was the last time she ever said anything other than supportive of the car hobby!

i'd like to have it. it's super cool. i think you need to buy it up. you can use the logic i do when i drag home rusty old car bodies:
"eh- if nothing else, i'll fly a pirate flag out of it and drink beer in it in my back yard"

In 1947 my dad built 10 midgets very simliar to this. The large end of the tank was to the rear. He used 4hp Cushman motor scooter motors in the rear. They had 2 pillow block bearings on solid rear axle. The front end was a tubular drive shaft with u-joints on each end for spindles. They had model T steering and centrifical clutch. He built a banked paved track on Blacckstone ave. in Fresno,ca. We charged .25 cents for ten laps. When your ten laps were up we would pull a trip wire across the track which would put the brake on. He put a head rest on one made from a 46 chevy pickup head lite. He also built boats the same way with two tanks side by side with an outboard motor between them, always with the large end of the tank to the rear. They would scoot along pretty good. I have one picture around here somewhere I will see if I can find it and post it.

Bought it. Now maybe I can get some sleep.

Got it for $275. Still more than I wanted to pay but less than he wanted to take.

Stored it away waiting for ideas and time.

Got a lot from you guys. Any more will be appreciated.

My initial thinking is a frame inside with a suicide front perch sticking out the front with an early dragster front suspension with motorcycle wheels.

Maybe cutting it just behind the seating compartment (bomber seat, bubble canopy), and stretching the tank then install some small engine in back and take it to Bonneville.

If any of you artists want to contribute. Go to town.

Its very simple ......Put a Harley motor in it 4 wheels & then train a monkey to drive it, and have him or her race at the Salt Flats or El Mirage for a new class record!

Actually I was thinking something along those lines. Although I'd like to be the monkey to drive it.

If you got the motor I got the tank.

It's a really big tether car. 5hp Briggs and Stratton, piece of rebar pounded into a parking lot, a piece of cable connecting the rebar to the bracket there on the side of the car, and away you go!
