I'm finishing up my narrowed Ford 8.8 to go in my 51 Ford Shoebox. I'm just doing the brakes and bought a Carlson kit and there is a washer I don't know what to do with! Anybody know? I've watched You Tube videos and haven't found anyone using or referencing it. Maybe under the C clip holding the e-brake arm? but then why is it in the self adjuster kit and not the brake replacement kit? Anyway, I sure would appreciate any input. I can't bring myself to leave it out.

Oops, never mind. I was hung up on Ford brake adjusters but they were very similar on all models. Found a Dodge picture that showed it going in the adjuster screw. My outgoing adjuster screw didn't seem to have one.

I've seen a lot of guys have them left over after the brake job...............but yes it goes on the adjuster.

Yep short end adjuster. I always put a touch of anti-seize or brake grease on both sides of washer and threads.

@CJ101 can you post the link to the video as I need to put my 8" brakes together and I'm not familiar with the self-adjusting set-up. I do know where the washer goes and I like @lostone idea of some anti-seize on the adjuster.
