Technical WHAT IS THE FASTEST COLOR

So I am watching the Olympics last night (speed skating to be specific). They have a side story on a Country and I forgot which, that said they did research on the fastest color. They said it was blue. So all their team's attire (race suits etc.) are blue this year even though the countries normal color was red.

So I was wondering in the auto world (HAMB FRIENDLY THAT IS) ...What do you think is the "Fastest" color? Please provide photo graphic evidence for debate...LOL

Clear...... so fast you can't even see it! If paint is too fast it runs. If you want to go slow use Turtle wax.

 

Actually back in our motorcycle drag racing days, they used to use something we called "JET WAX". They were able to get 1-2 more mph in the quarter due to less friction of the wind going over the fairing. No BS! Check it out...

A thick layer of patina will slow you down as well .

 

El Caminos aren't the worlds fastest cars but I thought my Competition Orange 65 was.

Technically, all colors (of light) move at the same speed in a vacuum, but the frequency and wavelengths differ across the visible spectrum. But the velocity does differs in other mediums like glass or water . In other mediums velocity of color red is generally the highest among colors falling in visible range of light.

It's all according. In England they paint their race cars green, at Indianapolis they never do because green is a jinx. Some Bonneville competitors believed a black car would go faster because it absorbs heat, heat thins the air, so air would thin out and slide easier over a black car. Have also heard of rubbing a car down with graphite to make it slippery.

If you believe a certain color will make you go faster it very well might. Just because it gives you confidence. If they could hypnotize the athletes into believing sticking a postage stamp on your bum made you go faster it would probably work.

Green is the fastest. You go to the bank get some green. Walk out and in minutes it's gone.
