Better watch yourself with negative comments about the Tardels on the HAMB. They walk on water and other cool stuff, don't you know.

Looks like they’re still there as of this Google Street Map image. Any reviews from the H.AM.B.?

Hmmm...the Tardel store seems to be getting better. The several bits I have ordered in the past came through in decent time, but as I explored other stuff most of what I would have bought was sold out...not just once but over a considerable period of time, a couple of years. I just checked back and looked up a bunch of things and they are now apparently purchasable. I hope they have reached the critical mass needed to run a store. I do understand that VT is primarily a builder and that doesn't leave much time for production and inventory work.
Most of his books range between good and excellent...I marvel at his job of mapping out the complex geometry of spindle bending, and the generator book would have saved me a LOT of research in the old iron library.
He needs some editorial backup...tech is obviously coming from a man who knows what goes where on a Ford but a lot of part numbers are off or assigned to wrong years. The actual parts are right, of course, so if you don't have complete illustrated interchange info in your head just make sure that the flea market parts you buy look like the pictures and you'll do fine!

    Previous experience with Vern
Didn't have the pleasure of meeting with multi-business director Joe Fazio!
...That would be at the S.F. address.

200 flathead blocks on pallets. Could those be new French blocks?

This is absolutely crazy to see. If you look, there are literally hundreds of bare blocks, two to a pallet. Boxes/bins of those good crank/cam gear sets, new rods, cranks. It looks like you have to buy a crate/bin or lot.

Not clear if they offer shipping. Did anyone see if the auction house is offering shipping?

With flathead popularity at an all time high, how in the world did this business not take off? It just doesn't make any sense.

Yes, they are. All those new parts for sale are French military NOS surplus.
