    383 CHRYSLER BB would be my choice. Fairly common so it's easy to find O.E. and aftermarket parts for it. Got one in my daily driver 68 Newport. Stock they produce good power and "lope" at idle when tuned right. Plus the unique thing of those engines the bore is larger than the stroke so they wind up off the line faster than other conventional BBs.

    Back in 1957 I was actully looking for a Studebaker v8 w/4bbl carb for the 28A roadster I was collecting parts for,but I ended up in 1959 with a 57 Thunderbird V8 Y-block that has done very well. I still think its a sexy motor,I added 4x2s with a homemade intake I built from scratch. 001 (4).JPG

    I have been wanting a blown Chrysler Hemi for decades, Finally own one and its going into my current build.
    354 with Weiand manifold and 671 blower.
    I had to sell one of my cars to finance it but no regrets.

    My Flattie is not for everybody but it's exactly what I wanted. I'll let Frank explain...

    To think I did all that;
    And may I say - not in a shy way,
    "Oh no, oh no not me,
    I did it my way".

    Last spring I was visiting H & H Flatheads and they told me they have a request to build a V 12 with Ardun style heads, and I don't recall if he said a blower. But, that would be my ultimate choice. Of course the estimated $75,000 price tag for the first would be a problem, but so cool.

    From the list given I would say the 394 hemi. With that being said though an old 425 wildcat could definitely hit the mark as well. Especially a dual quad 425.

    Either blown y block or a blown boss 429....... both would have to have hilborn mechanical injection.

    Sorry
    Sorry, I'm a young gun. I should've said it's fairly common engine to find that's built like that, compared to the others you posted. It's fairly easy to find a 383 chrysler still, at least in my neck of the woods.
