Drj, I'm going to challenge you on the McMullen roadster. I know Tom ran a big block (427) Ford in the roadster but never heard of him running a Cammer. Do you have any pictures?
I have a wonderful recipe for CROW that i'll be willing to partake of if you're right.

Fab you might want some salt with that recipe. toms original did run a FE but the 2nd or 3rd car ran that chev dual overhead cammer and I'm sure thats what the DR is throwing up [IMG]. I'm with you tho his first one was the only one that counts. no matter how hard you try " you can not duplicate the original of anything" [IMG]

    I have and like my Hemi's Dodge 241 and 270. DeSoto 330.
    Chrysler354.
but my Cad 331 and Lincoln 317.5 Chev 235,292 six. my straight 8 Buick or Pontiac I got a couple Nail heads. I guess its pointless for me to engage in this post cause I like them all, and I want to run each one of them as hard as they will run. to hear an engine scream is not based on RPM what you hear is Piston speed. once you figure out what that is you can have fun with anything! Hey boys and girls, the Flatty Cad:

This one is from a boat site, I'm not sure how true it is to the car manifolds:

Well I know you folks don't appreciate people piping in without an introduction, my name is Tom and you wouldn't approve of my car.

Unless of course you want to go fast, then you might appreciate my all bolt on, pump gas, 11.27 @ 119.1 Buick Regal [IMG]

I just cruise by here to see the cool shit REAL mechanics build. Keep up that good work, maybe I'll have the requisite skills next summer [IMG]

Did you check out the four bolt mains? One serious race engine! [IMG]

  19. With apologies to Al Jardine, Mike Love, and the clan Wilson: My four speed, dual quad, positraction 409. A dual quad Z-11 would be my dream engine, loaded up with lots of finned aluminum, plunked into a Model A tub.

Second choice - the SD 455 out of the old Trans Am tucked away in a garage here in town. Had a ride in that thing 15 years ago. Un-frggin-believable.

It'd hafta be this one....390 Cadillac...1959 Eldorado Q code block (just listen to the stockers scream! Q code means Eldo AND fully optioned! [IMG])...bored 30 over to 396, full race Babe Erson cam (302 duration with .562 lift), Manley stainless valves (intakes are 202's), Edelbrock finned aluminum valve covers (super hard to find), Edelbrock six duece intake (even harder to find) with six strombergs, Vertex magneto, and chrome the shit out of it!! [IMG] [IMG] Droppin' this monster into my '30 Model A coupe...then it's off to eat some rice grinders! [IMG]

Crease, that ain't no Rocket, it's a SBC wearing a disguise.
I'm kinda partial to my '56 Packard 352, it looks just like a Caddy, close enough to fool just about everybody, but it does say 'Packard' on the valve covers. Hey that gives me an idea!

I still wanna build a T bucket with a Daimler Hemi.
