I think you left a 0 off that.
I got 76 Passes in at the track last year all of them wheels up and 2000 miles on the road last year some of them wheels up went to a bunch of Cruise night and a bunch of car shows and just had a bunch of fun with it all year long. And it always gets a crowd of people around.

Takes me back to being a kid at the drags in Edinburg, TX
If ya don't get it, ya won't get it!
Here is something that'll play in the minds of many...........
Note the designation (class)
Maybe Im doing my truck the wrong way!? I was trying to lower it but now I might lift it???.... Im kind of thinking of really making it into a gasser though im falling in love with them and its still got the straight axle too....
Gasser, Street Freaks I all=ways understood (done right) But these $50,000-up 'street rods', 'pro tour things' still being 'shown'----no way----
I like em cause if done right they just look bad ass. All business with no fluff.
Your car is a lot of fun to watch
See you again this year at Beaver Springs
If you gotta have it explained to you. You aint never gunna understand
...I have this pic also, note all four wheels off the ground!,...my favorite Willys.
Here is Mike with 3 wheels up. Test out my front axle I made him
I guess if you haven't owned one and are not into drag racing, you won't get it..I'm the same way about drugs...
Your not counting the wheels on his bumper
Gasser's rule!!! Building one myself with Pot O' Gold Kustoms. 1960 F100 gasser
I think this was before the wheels got put on the bumper brackets. But you might be right.
Nice-I was wondering who ended up with that car. We had a lot of fun with that sucker-enjoy it!
Gassers are like rat rods. Everybody wants to do them now. They are Awesome cars but getting little played out..
just the way of the day, they were wild
My husband and i were very lucky to become good friends with Pork. He had a great time driving our car on a couple of occasions. There will never be another Filthy Forty.
"They are Awesome cars but getting little played out.."
It's a good thing you didn't say that about a 32 ford on here! <!-- / message -->
I know moon rocket. I would probably be kicked off this web site.
Here's what you are missing, you weren't around for 1960-1970 drag racing! NOT trying to sarcastic at all, just one of those "you had to be there" things. Gassers, REAL gassers that is ( and most "gasser's today aren't) were once the fastest, quickest street driven cars there were. The look reflects the time, most consider it the Golden Age of drag racing.
Agreed. I'm envious of those who got to actually experience it.
Exhibit A. The Parham & Doane "Chev-uh-lay", warped me for life at Woodburn Drag Strip
as a kid in the 1960's! Fast, beautiful and COOL!
I'm confused how a drag car of its day gets played out???
I haven't gotten sick of them
I read what you typed, but somhow what I heard is For whatever reason you don't like hot women and think they are played out.....LOL
I guess tire technology has changed the stance of gasser from what I can read between the lines.
The early ones posted look awesome, but the newer ones while gasser in style seem just to sit high and run mostly a straight front axle but just dont seem to have that huge reverse rake like the early ones did.
