My 49 Buick speedo is way off. I want to find a GPS app for my android phone so I can figure out what the percentage from 20 to 70 mph it is off so I can get a different gear to drive it. So what app have you found that works the best and is fairly accurate?

  2. I use "Thunder Speedometer"
No ads and seems accurate when I try it in a daily driver

I use digihud, but I have to go into settings and turn off all kinds of stuff that is not the speedometer, first.

And I have to make sure to kill the app after I'm done, so it doesn't eat the battery.

I've got one on my old phone that worked great but sucked the power out of the phone's battery like crazy. Can't remember what one it is but it had analog and or digital readout along with an odometer that would pick up and go again if you didn't reset it.

O'm a Waze app user too. Use it all the time, even when I know when I don't need directions, because it alerts you to road and traffic conditions and will get you around traffic jams ahead of you that you aren't aware of.

    I use a simple one.
    Gps Speedometer, version 1.3.2
    Simple and accurate.
Yes it has adds, but it's free and easy to use.

  9. I use GPS speedometer. Free, no ads, has odometer for trip and total and max speed. Works well, no power probs at all

  10. That's weird, I don't have ads.

You don't need a GPS app just run the car on a measured mile, that will give you the percentage you need.

That's how I check my odometer. Once I get that right by changing the gears in the transmission, then I worry about the speedometer.

One thing I found that eat battery power when using a speedo app is WIFI. Shut it off so your phone isn't searching for wifi and the battery will last a lot longer.

I tried 3 different ones, the digihud seemed to have the biggest digital readout/easiest to read of the speed which is what I wanted. Thanks to all that posted, Brian.
