Saw this coupe on a Facebook group last night. At first I was thinking cool old 32 Ford, but looking at it closer something's different.
Here’s an article hot rod mag did on the car last year..looks to have a few changes between the OP’s picture and the article https://www.hotrod.com/articles/brass-junkie-owner-john-moss-built-1932-plymouth-pile-parts/
It looks a whole lot better in the bank parking lot than that magazine link. The stupid scoop through the hood ruins any profile the car had.
32 Ply. Like the lines,in OP. Just don't care fore mixed up time frame styles an bubble of BS finish? my self.
Stance is cool, would rather see it finished than as a rat rod (which is what it looks like with all the "touches")
Looked great in the bank lot, just needing paint and clean WW tires. Then I saw the link to the mag article. The hood scoop and shit top moved the car to Rat Rod status. So sad....
Yeah, that could be a cool car if the owner would take pride in his work and finish it instead of leaving it to look like a rat rod. "Close, but no cigar"
I think the owner does” take pride” in his ride. He’s doing it his way! While I don’t care for rat rods, either, the people that like them do take pride in their creation. The dirty white walls are kinda like scraping my finger nails on a chalkboard, to me, but it’s the look that HE is after! Just my .02. Bones
As long as the owner likes it I suppose, a lot of people do now days. It does look like it's built well even if not to my taste
the car does have some nice stuff to it but if you look at all the pictures in the link, it's got a lot of rat to it.
That to me is what a rat rod should look like. It's weird how far to the extreme they've gone. Now they all look like weird combo of tractors and Mad Max
I think the difference is in the spelling, a lot of them should be called ART instead of RAT. Even though it's an art that I don't care for, like a lot of things called art. Art apparently doesn't have to be practical, just look good in somebody's eyes. To me, a lot of them are about as useful as some of those 60's and 70's show cars....rolling toilets, bath tubs, coffins, etc.
