My son 1950 Chevy with a torque tube rear end has this hellish shake when you try to get rolling. Here is a video, you have to watch close to see the wheels shake. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/N9k8lHmIt2A?hl=en&fs=1" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="349" width="425"></iframe> Is this a Torque tube issue or something else? We had the car slammed in the back (3" blocks and lots of pulled springs) but put most of the springs back to see if it would help the shake but it did not. Please help. Thanks Dave

^^^ This and... Being that it's a torque tube, I'd suspect loose motor/trans mounts causing the clutch to chatter when depressed? The whole drivetrain could be moving foreward and aft while the clutch linkage stays fixed.
Exactly. Back trace this and you should find the issue pretty quickly. The TT does not lend you to the 'slop' of an open driveline and spring wrap. I should have mentioned the shocks and shock bushings as well.
Motor mounts are new but the leaf spring bushings are old and funky. Will look into new bushings. Also suspecting the cluch. Any other ideas? Thanks Dave
