We went to an Invite only car show today put on by Antique Aero (They restore and fly antique airplanes). It is held in Paso Robles at the airport between several hangers. There are no spectators, so its relaxing. There was a Aerobatic competion going on up in the sky with antique planes doing flips etc. The original "Worlds Fastest Indian" was there and they started it along with a drag car. They have a collection of motors and a great collection of rare airplanes that you can get right up to. There were about 80 cars.

Really diggin' the Stearman with the British markings! Antique cars, antique airplanes, and BBQ? Just add free beer and naked women and I think you'd have heaven!

A car/ airplane show would be awesome! I would have taken so many pictures if I was there! It would be neat to see a '41 Boeing next to a '41 Willys, and so on. I am thankful I don't use film anymore- I would use so much and not know if it would come out like I had envisioned.

Can any of ya venture a guess as to what type aircraft the red and white one in the picture is? HINT: It is NOT an "early or prototype" Spartan Executive. DD

Cant remember what type the Red/White was but I do know its the only one of its type that is still flying. The women that owns it also owns the yellow one and a couple others there. Last year got inside of the Big Blue one at the end.

For sure, you're right... it is a rare bird. It's a Fairchild Model 45, or F-45. Thank you much for posting the pictures. DD
