Creepy. When I was just a kid, I owned a black '5o Ford 2dr. I traded for a '55 Jaguar XKE Roadster with knock-off wires, along with some cash. I also owned a Bobber Triumph Thunderbird with a pea-pod gas tank, Bates seat and pillon pad, and megaphone exhaust; it was a real hell-raiser. As to your paint, from the perspective of one who was around when those cars were drivers, here in the USA, not that I'm an expert, I think that nice maroon paint is not OEM, but a later version that was applied later. I have owned several Fords of that vintage since my first one, one a bona fide whiskey-hauler whose owner told me when he handed me the keys, "Don't ever take this car to McNary County, Tennessee." And, being at the time full of mischief, I asked, "Why?" The man looked at me paternally, as though I was still wet behind the ears, and said, "Because by-god I outran Buford Damn Pussor in it. That's why! You go up there, you damn sure won't come back." Being of sound mind and body, I took his advice. It had an Olds engine and overload springs, and was a blast to drive --- while it lasted. But, that's another story. Keep at it. Just know when too much is too much. By the way, there was a nice 'Bull-Nose' for a '49-'51 Ford, for sale in the HAMB classified a day, or so, ago. Makes quick work of removing the ornament. And, hanging tags are apt to get lost. If getting a replacement is as much a bitch as it is here, I'd have a plan 'B' for where to put them. More later. I'm watching.

Thanks! The paint is not original like i Said before it was repainted in the 60s its maroon with fine metallic in it dont know what the original paint was maybe usual dark red? For the licens plate its not a problem in Sweden to get new signs but they use to stay in place at least they have on all my other kustom cars i had. Have looked at the ornament delete too have seen that shoebox central sells the little bullnose chrome to!

Z bars on the Triumph. Love those. Have them on my hardtail springer HD. Z's and skinny tires!

I like it. Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference.
I'm digging the detailed flattie. Especially the Hi/Comp. heads.
Maybe your striper friend will lay some lines on your dash/interior ?
(Gray and gold, to tie in with the seats?) Let him go nuts!
(P.S., If he needs to warm up first, he can also do your firewall.:))

Nice shoebox!....reminds me a lot of my fathers car when I was a kid, jumping up and down in the back seat to drive 'faster'....it was lowered by throwing in filled sand-bags in the trunk...and my chore after supper, was to drag all the trash from under the rear bumper with a broom handle where it was only 1'' inch off the ground! (questionable 'technology' in early 60'so_O).....he painted it with a Hoover vacuum cleaner, when they came with such attachments....the deepest maroon color....and added 57' Dodge cone-hubcaps on it with whitewalls....''that'' particular car is what got me into the hobby myself, and your car is very similar....wish I had one now!!! You can't go wrong with a Shoebox Ford!...you got a nice car!

The white really brightens up the interior like you said. Looks good, very good.
But I have to ask, how do you not tear up your front & rear plate that low?
