Yes the garage is a really warm place now days in winter try to keep it heated all the time, dont have a blower motor on the Ford was never on it from factory or heat Box but has looked at some on ebay and maybe throw some heat in its good to have heat in spring and fall here in cold Sweden! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Good looking car, I'd say run the interior you have and get to it in a winter or two, get some miles "kilometers" on that car and have fun. The first pic has a reflection in the car of a bunch of wheel loaders, are you into earthmoving/ excavating. Just being nosey, that's some serious equipment.
hi David, Cool cars, cool garage, cool bike - very inspiring. I will be building a new garage this spring and that's exactly how it should look like
Thanks! About the interior i planing on running as it is like you say just paint it up white for a little brighter feeling its really nice orherwise with new black headliner and carpet! No the machines you see in the reflextions are from were i load the car when it had come to sweden.
Thanks for all kind words, i really like my garage too it was a very big reason me and my girlfriend bought the house. In the 30s to 60s there use to be a truck company here so thats why the garage is quit big
Nice garage, way cleaner than mine right now but outside is snow with more to come..I may have a heater assembly and other associated parts will look if interested..What is on the dash where heater controls would be? I've never seen a heat delete shoebox..
In the dash there are no controls for heat and so arent they always on the underside of dash on 49s? I belive the controls shuld be were i put my temp goughes?
Ah, yes probably so..I'll look in the Green bible, stuff I have is for a 51 and the controls were in the dash [totally different dash] so thats why I asked about the delete, I couldn't imagine what they would have done on a 51..You must have the fresh air vents on both sides?
I agree. Chopping the sedans make that big back side window smaller like the coupe and gives it a better profile. I think there are a lot of good body men in your part of the world. Maybe you can find one that will help you chop it later on.
Nice Shoebox (all of your rides are great , actually) , and like everyone else said , the garage is awesome too ! I wish I had that solid of a start with MY shoebox . It's going to be great when it's done . I wouldn't rush into chopping it . Enjoy it for a while , hone-in your skills and see what comes around in the future . There are already enough bad chops & half-done projects out there . I can't wait to see more of that wagon too !
Thank you for all nice words! Yes the shoebox is really solid and i also like the old paintjobb from the 60s that turned into patina now so thats also a big reason not to chop it.... I can garuanted pull of a top chop, work as a automekanic and are not scared for body works but it is different work when it comes to old cars and make a chop right!
Was out in the garage today after work for a couple of hours and started sanding some of the interior parts maybe reddy for primer tomorrow but no picture today
Very nice! Best of luck with the rest of it, please keep us updated! We're having a blizzard here right now
Cool stuff. I am always amazed at you guys in Sweden and your traditional rides. My son-in-law is from Sweden and he is one great person. I always tell him about the cool cars I see posted from Sweden. Stay warm in that garage. Snowing like crazy here right now.
