Touched up my intake with some rattle can Chevy orange and the foil I was using to mask off my bolts came off and they got sprayed. I keep my hood up at shows and having only 4 bolts painted is enough to bug me. I wouldn't mind polishing them and making them shiny, I just gotta get these uncovered first. I'd rather not take them out if I can avoid it, but if I have to, I will. What's my best bet on something so small? Rubbing compound? Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Take them out one at a time, hit them with a wire wheel. Unless they are chrome or polished...

or if you want to leave them on, try lacquer thinner, then rubbing compount

if you don't want to mess up the paint around them, take them out first.

Use a Q-tip with the lacquer thinner. Fairly easy to control the thinner with the swab.

Maybe some MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) on a cotton swab. MEK is a really powerful solvent, but avoid getting it on your skin. It's nasty stuff.

I'd try acetone, or lacquer thinner.

Rattle paint is very easily cut. I usually use lacquer thinner, but any "hot" thinner will do it. If it burns you nose to take a tiny whiff, it should cut the rattle can paint.

Get a little brush and paint them all the same color. Don't get any on the manifold or if you do, wipe it off with a rag or Q tip and thinner before it dries.

How about chrome acorn nut covers?

You should have wiped them off right away!
The easiest is to remove them one at a time and make them nice and shiny with a wheel. Good way to clean your fingernails at the same time.
