Buddy of mine got this with some parts he picked up. Have no idea what it fits. Noticed it has a place for a cross member like the older Chevrolet's. Yes it's for sale. He has no use for it. 3833.jpeg 3832.jpeg 3831.jpeg 3830.jpeg 3828.jpeg

Engine Chevy trans GM and Ford is my guess. Do you have block saver plate and index hole adapter?

Looks like it may fit more than one engine as well as transmission?

Chevy, BOP, extra bolt holes to hold the bell to the block protector.

GM and Ford wide top loader.

lakewood usually stamped a number on them, did he find a number anywhere?

but yeah, it fits a GM engine, and fits a GM or early Ford transmission.

All the holes on the mounting flange reminds me of converting a Chevy Lakewood to a 8BA flathead for our FED nostalgia car, the DJ Louvers car. We put the block on its nose. entered the Lakewood center with the crank center, marked the holes and redrilled the flange. Made a new pilot bearing for the flywheel with a Chevy trans ID out of oilite. Found a flea market early ('55 or so) three speed trans which had tailshaft removed and a bronze piece on the back that evidently adapted the trans to a '49-54 Chevy closed driveshaft. Sort of a version of the old Xbox, which was an alum case that took '55 Chevy gears and bolted into Chev closed driveshaft. Anyway we ended up with a flathead that was direct coupled to 9" Ford rear with a '49-'54 chevy closed driveshaft universal giving us a great scattershield. We ran the car as a second and high car, one shift on a run. This is the car with Dick Kiusalas at the wheel, he bought the car from us when we got too old to safely exit the car. Unfortunately the car was parted out and is now, I understand, a window dressing prop somewhere. 28471806_1998692496839740_251634163127689446_n.jpg

I was gonna say... Not a toploader after '65 or so anyway, that out-of-square bottom hole tells me that.
