Looks like a 2 to 1 margin for lakes.

Well if you with Bellflowers i Hope they will be functional also.

I have a '61 Dodge that has been around for some years & i have kicked this same thing around for years.

Had Skirts but could never figure out what pipes i wanted.

In the end, I had Straight Pipes out the Back & NO shirts.

Late Big cars lend to No skirts due to having a Fender Lip, The Pipes & Tips Sold today are just FUCKIN Cheezy Tiwain Shit.

I have evolved to the Less Is More Look on the Dodge... Man i need to get that car running again !!!

^^^ them funny lookin 61 Dodges look even more goofy with skirts. 'specially the post cars. the wheelwells are so cool on those the skirts take something away.

well you asked what we think... I have never seen a car where lakes pipes or dummy spots were an improvement. I put them in the same catagory and plastic food on a tray hanging from the window, drive in speakers on a car that is not at the drive in, fuzzy dice and "lost in the 50's" or "Peggy Sue" painted on the quater panel.

bellflowers are cool though, so long as they are hooked up.

I say lower the back and run with the bellflowers, you gotta keep the skirts on it too. Great looking machine by the way.

I've really gotten tired of lakes pipes, for a while there they were showing up on everything, but I gotta say, they look great on your car with the skirts. As others have said, I think you need to drop the ass a little for the bells.
OBTW, I fuckin' love that car!

  9. lakes look killer on some 50's cars , bellflowers on some 60's. I like the look of bellflowers on my 62 Merc. Monterey

I like how the bellflower pipes seem to continue the line of the rockers to the back of the car. I also think the lakes pipes make the center look too low in comparison to the front and rear.

    So, I vote: Bellflower pipes.

I have to say it again Bruce, the lakes pipes make the car look like it has a big "kick stand" hanging on it...I vote leave it alone, or at most the Bellflowers.

I don't know about most folks, but I personally don't like bellflowers. To me it looks like someone did the exhaust that didn't know what they were doing and put them on wrong from the wrong car.

    Skirts: I didn't think anyone made skirts for a 59 Edsel. ???

lake plugs,no skirts, show those chrome reverse wheels....nice car BTW

  27. That car doesn´t need skirts IMHO. Did Edsels ever have skirts?

I´d probably go for Bellflowers rather than lakes.

    Lovely car, whatever you decide.
