Pokey Lafarge also has an incredible new record out. Worth a Google for sure. I'll be at the Dec 3rd show in Cleveland. Dude is awesome.

    Angels?

if I said “am I ever gunna see your face again?” then the pub refrain should automatically play in your mind.

    Cheers,

    Hello,

Last week, I went to such an outstanding "graduation from high school" ceremony that we got influenced with the whole concept of different ways to see and hear unusual music from not normally listened to, sources. We have seen plenty of Star Spangled Banner opening ceremonies over the zillion presentations. But, this one with a group of talented high school performers was the topper. Clear, upbeat, melodious, and the harmony was outstanding as well as it "rocked out." The old song was given new life and that is how teenagers' last vestiges of high school should be presented.

It was performed by such a diverse talented high school group. Three lead singer/soloists and a huge group of tones from a variety of other talented singers. They were graduates for a performing arts school music program. It show-cased some extremely talented students, now headed to their point in time.

    Jnaki

But the best part of the whole rousing ceremonies was the adaptation of music to the normal dull speeches and administration accolades. This time, it was student oriented and we parents/grandparents/friends in the audience were the ones with gratitude for not a single boring moment in the proceedings.

When it came time to have the wonderful class stand up after going through individual strolls down the stage, accepting their diploma cases, the music started. Everyone, I mean everyone including 80+ years old grand parents normally not used to the driving beat to teenage music, all stood up and cheered as the newly graduated teenagers walked out of the auditorium aisles to their futures…

The Black Eyed Peas singing, “I Got The Feeling,” just made everyone move their heads, bob to the music and smile at the happy faces and gestures of the graduates walking up and out of the huge auditorium. The pounding bass sounds over the huge auditorium speakers just made the moment come together. The smiles from the happy graduates said it all… "Hello,, future, here we come…"

It will be a moment to remember. Not like our own H.S. grad ceremony 60 years ago that felt like a funeral procession and staid convention. Ha!

And, what was I doing in the garage a week later listening to the pounding music? Well, actually, I was getting my new set of tools ready for some small Moon Equipment products for the Hot Wheels/Matchbox scale cars I am still doing, when time allows… Ha! Busy, busy, busy
