Was wondering if anyone has any info on this intake manifold....was found in a friend's grandfather's house.... thanks
Look for more goodies...and if your friends Grandpa is still alive or any of his friends it may lead to more discoveries...Carbs are Ford script Holley 94's with inline six manifold that's my measly analysis...there will be more and nice score... Can you see or decipher first word of Company on the manifold Wicson? Engineering
I sent you a pm, it appears to fit a Continental engine judging by "Continental" as seen on the casting.
My Continental flat 6 only has 4 ports for the intake..they all appear to be the same size (just viewing the intake manifold)
Nicson ford inline 6 manifold Good bit of kitch ya got there mate!! See what else is lying about Not sure what exactly it fits marine? Hot rod ? 300 cid? Either way it’s cool !
Continental ? Where do you see that? I see NICSON ENGINEERING LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA DU41 I thinks Continental engines looked more like Chrysler flatheads then anything else
It does say continental on it, not sure if it's in the picture or not Sent from my Alcatel 5085C using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Wow you guys have good eyes or I’ve been drinking to much beer. Continental? Hot rod forklift ? Marine ?
Here's a list to narrow it down however Ford carbs may disqualify many... https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2008/...tal-engines-the-complete-list/comment-page-1/
Do the carb flanges look like they've been altered? That manifold looks like it would fit a Continental if you flipped it upside down and ran two updraft carbs on it, but I've never seen an updraft carb with a three bolt flange.
Nicson was into marine stuff. I had a boat that had Nicson wet exhaust manifolds on a 428 Ford. They also made In/Out, V-drive boxes. I don't recognize the intake manifold pattern though. Lynn
sure looks like it would fit my ford flathead 6,ports in the right place.ford flathead 6 was used in a couple of different boats, but the carb surfaces are usually at an odd angle to make up for the nose high mounting of the engine
Chris craft boats had ford y-blocks so maybe older boats. Nice find Sent from my SM-G950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I have absolutely no idea at what it is, but that has never stopped me from offering my opinion before.
here are some pics of the Ellis intake for the same motor claims to be for a Continental 513/572/602 OHV. http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/Topic74583.aspx
yes, it does. But the bolt holes are not in the right place, and the AMC is not a Continental. And I think the AMC motor was introduced after Nicson quit making intakes for 3 bolt carbs.
