1949 Oldsmobile Sedan, 1954 Hudson Hornet Special (7X), 1959 Buick LeSabre (God-Awful Green), 1964 Buick Skylark Hdtp, 1966 Chrysler Newport, skip a few while I was in the military, 1977 Buick Lesabre w/turbocharged V6, then a host of very forgettable boring cars that I don't remember

'49 Ford, then many Mercs and Fords after that. He really liked the '49.

  6. The last couple of HAMB friendly cars my dad had was a blue and white ‘56 Studebaker Sky Hawk, like this one but I don’t remember if it was dark blue or light blue.

And a yellow ‘59 Ford F100 fleetside long bed which he used to call the Bug Yellow Bomb, faded just like this one except he had a set of mid 50’s Mercury full wheel hubcaps on it. It really made the truck look good.

He sold the Stude in the early 60’s and the F100 later in the 60’s or maybe around 1970. I’m glad I can still remember the cars.
Sorry no actual photos. My mom might have some somewhere.

The same 1961 Chrysler I'm fixing up.

    It was his first car.

Then it was my first car.

Maybe my daughter wants it next.

  8. My Dad drove one of those 'til the early '30s. He was a working cowboy in North Dakota until he and my Mom got married in 1934.
