What I brought home last November, 2008: Where I'm at on it today (actually, a little further!) My '37 Terraplane in June 2004; about three months after getting it home from a guy in KS that I did some trading with - I had already added the wide whites on it and had it running good here. No interior or glass yet - still working things at that time...The PO had painted it and already had the drive train installed when I got the car, but not a lot else My '37 in its most recent picture - Thanksgiving Day 2009.
Started with this. A really nice old body with a 1960s-70s "flair". Set in a dry garage for 18 years, so it was in great shape. 18 months later, done mostly over the Winter. We did everything but the exhaust. Had a ton of help from alot of great friends. Spent alot more on beer than I did labor.
I saw the stack of 100s. I know the feeling. ___________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid, "Your music's not too loud, its just like OKC, it sucks!"
I started with this glass body and hundreds of old parts. After years of hard work and many thousands of dollars, I'm almost done! ]
Got a whole bunch of pieces from Tim Strange (Strange Motion). That was quite a while ago. I am getting closer to paint , but still a long way away.
Being a Merc guy and completely Un-biased of course. This is the ultimate in before and after pics.... .
Its so cool that you took the time and effort to save your delivery after the crash...its great to see the updates!
Here is my car on the left and a stock plymouth on the right. My car was even the same color when i got it. The owner (guy in the yellow) didn't even realize my car is the same as his. Big thanks to Choprods.
