  2. I went and looked at Willys stuff, decided not to buy, good race car body but not so good street/strip body, no inner structure in it.

Welded up a new set of frame rails for the o/t jag project. Only had to cut one weld and redo it. Next is working out engine placement.

  18. Spent the majority of the weekend in my shop working on the 36, lots of lil jobs and oh yeah wiring clean up too, but after sweating my ass off in the over 90 degree humid climate, this was my 15 seconds of redemption when closing the shop up for the weekend.

Went to another swap a month ago and picked up an old Motorola car radio. The heater and the radio were almost exactly the same size, so I surgically removed the front of the radio and transplanted it onto the heater.

Made my engine crossmember last night. Still needs a tad more work, then it'll be a bolt-in so that my chassis can be changed over from Jag power to whatever in minutes. Going to do the trans crossmember the same way. Not going to be locked in to any particular powertrain.

Ran out of skill. The HF 20 Ton press won this round. A sort-of-off-topic Volvo station wagon (The body went into production in 1956). Time to cut my losses and remove this from the herd (lots of other work needed).

  25. I can't catch a break. I went to the ER today to collect another rare disease, Addison's, to add to my other two serious rare diseases. Pretty scary, the doc stated that with my seriously low temperature, 30C (86F), I could have died. I felt like I was in a barrel of ice.
I feel like crap on a stick, but at least the doctors are doing every thing they can to get me on the right path to treatment. I'll be seeing two specialists this coming week.
I can't work, all I can do, is go back to bed.

Bob, get your rest and gather strength. Never heard of Addisons til today. Anyway, ruined my cross member last night and had to cut it up to save the engine mounts. Oh well, it's just steel, welding wire, and time, right?

  28. Like Bob, I have accomplished little lately. I hope you get better Bob.

Today I did the same thing I have been doing for weeks and looks like will continue for a time. Off topic, but I suggest if you haven't gotten the shingles shot, to please get it. I put it off and believe me, its hard to accomplish anything once you get it.

Last night I finished my engine bay wiring harness for my 8ba. Got my power cable ran to the trunk for my battery and started mocking up a column drop/gauge mount idea for my steering column.

  30. Ouch, shingles can't be explained to anyone who has never had them and depending on where they show up on your body and make it even worse, believe me I know.

Don, I'm sending you a PM. HRP
