Came home after work and pulled apart the steering box that I bought to replace the clapped out one in the 58 Chevy Pu that I bought awhile back. It all looked really good inside , I suppose because it was packed full of chassis grease...Knocked out the bushings and cleaned everything up and I just ordered a rebuild kit. Good day in my book:cool:

  4. I put some letters up, now a couple signs and it may look like an old garage front, maybe a black stripe right above the garage door all the way across.

Started polishing and ceramic coating my 41. Just did the fender and you can see how much gloss is added by the ceramic coat. It brought out the red in the maroon just a bit. Not as noticeable in person as with the camera.[IMG]

Knocked down the beach ball sized wasp nest in the Banger Barn that I blasted early yesterday morning. Just don't feel comfy working on the A within 8 ft of that hive.

I installed an oil fill/breather in the back of a rare NOS Schnell intake, starting with making up the tube and cutting the hole. After I got it welded, the customer did a fine job blending the weld joint. IMG_3417.JPG IMG_3418.JPG IMG_3424.JPG IMG_3425.JPG

  13. I worked 10 hours then came home and painted the green trim on my shop, red wall paint tomorrow weather permitting.

I know you can’t see much but it’s a cool pic.

Two years ago I had a cell phone at Hershey, it was good to keep in touch with my swap space while out shopping, so I spent an hour on the house phone trying to get the thing hooked up again, what a pain, last year wasn't so bad with out the cell, some things are not meant to be. Bob

  20. Went out and removed the entire crossmember & front suspension assembly from a 73 square cab chevy truck. a potential customer wants it to convert his 62 to coil spring disk brake 5 lug. Already got too hot to be outside. But I got it taken out because I went out at daybreak before Sol started baking everything. I hate it when I grab a wrench and its so hot I front and rear ends 001.JPG can barely hold it.

Each year the various volunteer fire departments and rescue squads have a party commemorating another year of service... usually in April or May. As a token of my appreciation for all they do, I try to send them a whole tub of this special ice cream that I like to share with them at the volunteer rescue squad. Unfortunately, this year Hersheys wasn't scheduled to make any of that special flavor until later in the year. I placed my usual annual order and asked them to let me know when it came available. Got it today and delivered it to some very happy volunteers. They will make an occasion to justify busting open the big tub of ice cream... I left it up to the Chief.

Went to my pal Larry's house and dug out the #s matching DZ 302 block that has been his basement since 1975 when he installed the the fitted block and pistons he bought from the dealer in 75.Really cool as the block was stored in the og crate that the fitted block came in. He let the car sit for the last 15years with no carb on it and just a rag over the intake, and although the hood was closed it was enough to cause pitting in a couple of cylinders...The og engine was pulled with less than 20,000 miles due to a spun rod bearing. He also had a set of nos pistons that we are going to use. To date the car has 27,000 miles on it still wearing its factory paint. I know this doesn't meet the cut off but it seems lots of guys on here really dig Chevy 302s:cool:

ID-57=9-19.jpg Last night took the 57 to Island Dragway. Cheap converter went bad and put metal in the trans fluid. Got the trans rebuilt and bought up, new FTI 3600 hard hit converter. Best before 13.08. Last night best 12.86 with the humidity a little high. Very pleased with this street driven through the exhaust car. My brother Scott came with me and helped quite a bit. Off to the NED (Northeast Division Bracket finals) next week at Lebanon Valley Dragway. Wish me luck.

  29. Oh man, I apologize, I was so focused on the "?" that I didn't pay attention to the photo, it looks great and exactly what I was thinking. Maybe I should start wearing my glasses to look at this phone screen...lol
