born on december 30th in central illinois, two blocks from hospital, and the ice was so bad that they were scared to carry me so I got slid home in a laundry basket with tons of blankets in it by my dad, I have seen him do the same thing with engine parts in the same basket minus the blankets!

mom's '65 Mustang GT fastback, only because dad's '68 Camaro had been rear-ended by a drunk kid who later became a police officer (!). In fact my mom had been riding shotgun when the accident happened and she had me not long after...

Dad brought me home in his '49 Merc, light kustom
Brought my own son home in my '66 Formula S Cuda

Both trips seem to have achieved the desired effect.

Either a '59 Imperial, or my dad's late 50's Dodge truck.

Far as I know those were the vehicles my folks owned in 1964, but they're not available for comment so who knows.

    My Dad's 55.5 Chevy truck....which I'm restoring/modding today! Here she is:

    Attached Files:

  30. You know the well that the convertible top folds down into on a '68 'Vette roadster?
Wife and I removed the folded top, bolted on the removable hardtop, threw a nicely padded basket back there and that's where our son rode home from the hospital in.
Lucky kid. He rode home in a loud side pipe ,street racer 'Vette.
I came home in a lame, ordinary '46 Plymouth coupe.
Well...........maybe that was cool after all.

The kid rode around in the back of that thing for years........it was our primary daily driver back then.
Ralph Nader would have had a puke attack.
No seat belt, no ear protection, poor ventilation,no air bag, no headrests, loud 8 track in his ear.
Guess that made us bad parents!
