I apologize first for no photos, now my questions. I just bought a 20's Dodge/Plymouth frame and I need to figure out what year it is. Here are items that stand out. 1.Wood Wheels with screw in lug bolts 2.Curvey tube axle with hyd. brakes 3.The rear leaf springs go under the rear axle but at the back on top is another half spring that has a shackle and attaches to the bottom spring. 4.Straight frame rails that taper smaller toward rear What possible year and who makes brake parts for this front axle. I plan on using this axle on my next project. Thanks for any help.
Juice brakes on Mopars came out in 31' Plymouth...I think Dodge a year later, not sure...twisty axle I think is 36 Plymouth and the wood wheels should be early Dodge Bros...any pictures? I have both a 31 Plymouth & 24 Dodge...
What were your plans when you bought it? I went to look at a couple bodies up in a forest last weekend. They were supposedly 34 dodges but some trees had come down on them. I saw what looked like hydraulic brakes on one and wondered if they had been retrofitted but maybe not after reading this thread.
