I am selecting a color for my 32 and really like this shade of blue.
any idea what it is?
is that washington blue?
Looks like 1968 Ford Presidential Blue with a dab of white.
Let me ask my Dad! He upholstered it!
Which one? they are 3 different cars.
The first one is a 1957 Porsche Speedster color. Don't know the same but thats where the paint is from if you look at the color chart for those cars. I'm talking about the lowboy. Saw it in Pomona last weekend!
all very close in color ... washington blue from what car originally?
32 ford. Mine was, because there was some under the cowl inside the car.
Just looked up that years color pinwheel and it's called "Aquamarine"
70's and 80's Jaguar had a color close to that.....
first is an article with a car painted washington blue
second is a nice site that cross references paint manufacturers for stock colors
Do you know how many "Blues" there are? Infinite! Find a chunk of something that is the blue you want then take it to WESCO and they will make it for ya. I was told when learning color NOT to give them names. (It influence your perception of the color)
It looks a LOT like circa 2000 Jaguar Westminster Blue which is non-metallic.
If you're all '' ga-ga '' over "Washington Blue" as a colour selection watch out! Ford used two blues known as " Washington Blue " in the 30's The early mix had a green base, the later a black one.

Indy, this is an AWESOME link, thanks! It actually has colors and codes listed AND links to cars painted in that color.
