  1. The Hamb, lets keep it '65 or older to stay within the guide lines of the rules.

    Project or driver.

This is the photo I posted along with my introduction back in 2003, Both are gone, the Roadster went to Missouri and the sedan went to Tokyo. HRP

I bought this car shortly after joining. It's a 1950 Chevy Styleline Deluxe. I have since stripped the paint, started some bodywork, sold the engine and trans and bought a 58 283 for it. In 2016 I put it in storage when I moved from Wisconsin to Florida until I had somewhere to put it. Well, I just moved to North Carolina a few weeks ago, so hopefully I can find somewhere to work on it here, because it's still in Wisconsin and I really want to get back on it. 50%20Chevy%204.jpeg

I had a 1941 International chopped and a 1940 Plymouth business coupe with a 291 DeSoto hemi . Both gone but know where the hemi is. Now have a 1927 Model T Tudor. Looking for a coupe.

The same ones I've had for 30-35 years.
67 Nova, OT, so I'll call it a 65 and not show it.

    66 Suburban, it's grandfathered in because it's the same as a 65.
Wescott bodied 32 roadster, see avatar photo.

Same I have now. A 1966 Ford Thunderbird (note: basics of car date to 1964 for the body, mechanicals even further or were used traditionally) with a 390 FE and 3 speed automatic. She is still a complete POS, and still fighting me to stay on the road (took it out for a spin after thinking I had timed the knock out of it, knocked under load).

Waaaaay back in '02 I had a steel 36 Fiat Topolino project, it is gone now and streerrodded out by next owner.
Thinking back that feels like a long long time ago, I am HAMB member #968, that too was a long time ago, I was a kid then, now I am a "graybeard" so I shave now............

Nothing remotely on topic for a good chunk or years, though to be fair I don’t think I even had a drivers license when I joined lol
  12. Had this when I joined. Have owned it now for almost 29 years. 2013-10-22 13.06.14 (1).jpg 12019836_1246272985398185_3439067659535294387_n.jpg DSCN7764 (1).JPG 18814792_712939035576889_2830503049825111466_o.jpg 20160823_184325.jpg

I found the HAMB in 98 or 99 so most of the cars I have now are the same as then. I have been driving old cars and old cars only for 51 years. My most modern car is a 1966, been in the family for 47 years.

[IMG]My 51 merc. The reason I joined was to find history on it. Which I did. Still have it!

It was over 9 years ago and I had my '40 Ford p/u, although it was in black primer then. A lot of cars have come and gone since then, but I've always kept this one.

  19. As my site name implies, I had this 56 Chevy, have had it 25 years I think ....and still haven't driven it over a mile from when I quit working on it a few years ago.

  20. When I joined in 2007, my dad had just died a year earlier, and I inherited his 38 Chevy. I got on looking to beef up my knowledge to take care of it. I got bit by the bug and built, then sold a 40 Ford Sedan. The 38 has not changed, but it's due for some updating, as it's been on the road since 82. 38.jpg

I still have the 31 coupe I signed on here with. Keep plugging away on it. Have learned a lot on this forum. After looking at this photo, I probably should dig up my original build thread and update it. IMG_0069.JPG

I had a '67 Malibu at the time but sold it just a few months after singing up. Since then I've had a '30 Model A Coupe, '34 pickup, '39 pickup, '39 Standard Coupe, '63 Econoline pickup and my current '65 Comet. The Model A and '34 pickup never got past the project stage.

1936 Ford Cabriolet and 1948 Austin A40 Dorset. The cabriolet has been in the family since 1957 and I am the current caretaker. I bought the Austin in pieces back in 1978 and I am finally getting around to putting it back together. 36 driveway.jpg Austin.jpg

I went through and deleted a couple of posts with off topic large diameter wheels. Just because this thread is about what car you had when you joined, it is not an excuse to post off topic photos

First drug home in 1996. Already had a billion miles racked up when I joined in '01.

Same car at the first HAMB Drags 2003.

    This is her today.
