It looks like a Crosley. Can you post a picture of the other side? That will show for sure.

lol lol lol Well your right it is a Crosley and they were the main stay for Front Motor Dragster 40 years ago I had hunted for one for the last few years and one day I google Crosley and there is a site with guys that sell them so I purcherst 2 just so I would have a spair for parts . they work perfic for Front Motor Dragster Steering its what I had in my FMD back in the early 60t. if you really want to build a FMD from the early years then you would prob have a Crosley Steering Box in it.

  13. Crosley steering boxes are a "Ross" unit.....
I used one in my "T" roadster back in 1960....I just sent a very good one with no slop down to Garlits for one of his recreations....

The Crosley rearend continued in life in Cushman truckster and such like that.
The Crosley transmission continued in lawn and garden tractors, Kuboda for one.
The Crosley engine continued in boats as the Bearcat.
The Crosley steering box likely did the same thing in small tractors, golf carts etc.

I know what you mean , I ran into a problem trying to find one when I built my 23 T Years ago so I Converted a Corvair box and used it.also my last Front Motor Dragster I found a cast iron Corvair box and Reverse it.
Now that I have a Crosley Box I can make it look like it's suppost too.
This is my last Dragster I will Build I'm Retireing.
