    Looking good Scott
You could angle the main hoop back but make sure that when you are setting in the seat that the bar is in spec to where your head and helmet will be.

I always want a seat mounted and the driver setting in the car before I mount the main hoop.

What does it cost to have the A stuff crated up and sent to central Mo ?

Just got back from getting the door bars bent, bushings will be ready tomorrow.
The rear ended housing as about a week and a half away though,as I just went to check on it,and the guy is leaving on vacation, and it isn't started yet.
Time to take a shower, scrub some of this spray-on truck bedliner off my face (don't ask),and get some rest.Gotta get up for work in a few hours.

Also just went through my incredibly obsessive SuperStock photo collection and found that all the factory A/FX Fords had the roll bar installed to stand straight up,so I think I'm going to leave it that way.Like Ric says,I may end up with a tech inspector who's not a fan if it's leaned back.

Ok,so my ADHD has gone into overdrive, and I think I'm going to lean it back just a hair,as the car will be slightly nose-down once it's fully assembled, and the bar will actually be tilted slightly forward.A few degrees won't hurt.

Better set your seat in and check. The rules say max 6" from helmet to bar and a max of 5" from top of bar to the braces going to the rear.

Make it adjustable with aircraft pins so you can set the angle depending on how you're feeling that day...:):(:confused::eek:

I set it back far enough from the seat that there will be plenty of clearance for my big mellon, and the rear bars are right off the main hoop.
The door bars are going to get test fitted in about an hour....

Getting closer to the finish line, fixed the fuel line that I crushed when I put the engine and headers in, remand the transmission mount and got the linkage put together. Put drive shaft in tonight and it should be ready to put back on the ground.

    That looks absolutely killer!

There used to be a Pontiac wagon around here back in the day called Honest Injun.Pretty sure it was a stock eliminator car.

The irony of it was,"Honest Injun" was illegal as hell!:D

It's really cool to see that name on your car,and the cartoon is icing on the cake.Nice job!

I think junior stockers are as cool as a fuel car...the lengths the owners would go thru to make the car run hard is amazing. There is a story on the junior stocker thread about guys having springs on there carburetor hold down studs, they would jet the carb super rich so when they floored the car the carb would tip and cause a big vacuum leak and make the engine think it had a bigger carb...pure genius.

So... we checked out the Prefect... no water in the oil (a good thing) compression and leak down all good (More goodness). Turns out it is 2 small issues combining to look really bad. We had a leak/crack in the water pump outlet that was misting water at pressure. It was combining with a misting oil leak from a bolt hole on the front of the engine we didn't seal correctly. The 2 mists converged and we had - Baby poop looking water and all kinds of bad images floating through our heads.

Both issues fixed... next test day is 13 June at the first ever get together for the Manitoba Gasser Association (Man Gas).

Feel free to drop on in to Interlake Dragway in Gimli Manitoba and join us

Did a bit more grinding and fitting on the roll bar.Laid the main hoop back a few degrees, angle cut the driver's side rear tube, and got myself all itchy and stinky with grinding grit so I can stink the truck up all the way home.
    This night shift sucks.

    And 55Chieftain:

That car is more awesome by the minute.Cant wait to see it rip and tear at the Meltdown!:)
